Feel It began in 2010 with the release of the Lackey Die 7" - an archival 1980's hardcore punk release that grew out of a series of interviews for Got Myself zine, edited by Sam Richardson. The record label was pure hobby, releasing 7"s and cassettes for central Virginia groups, eventually expanding through the network Richardson would create through touring and running one of the premier distros of the past decade. In 2016, Feel It entered into a more ambitious release schedule, beginning a prolific working relationship with The Cowboys, adding a slew of new North American and Australian groups to the roster, (notably Pleasure Leftists' The Gate, which made the Bandcamp Top 100 releases of 2019) and diving further into archival/reissue territory. The shifting territory of 2020 has seen Feel It become a full time operation with the wild success of Sweeping Promises and further expansion into post-punk, the Days of a Quiet Sun compilation being the label's first dip into late 60's reissuing, and a partnership with Grammy-nominated Tommy Marolda to issue The Toms 1979 Sessions on vinyl. 2021 brought sixteen new releases from several new and diverse additions to a growing international roster of artists, defining the high quality contemporary style that has become synonymous with Feel It. In Summer 2022, the label relocated to our new home of Cincinnati, Ohio where we plan to continue as a full-time operation.
