August 2019 Update

Posted by Sam Richardson on 8/29/2019 to News
Wosop everybody? As August draws to a close, we're proud to announce the final two Feel It releases of 2019 - a new 7" singe from Melbourne, Australia's POWER and the debut LP/CS from Richmond's SLUMP. We're also distributing a massive new issue of the legendary Distort mag. More on all of those below. The PLEASURE LEFTISTS andCEMENT SHOES albums have both been doing quite well, and we are down to the last hundred copies of each record, so snag one before they're gone! And just a head's up - the Feel It site will be closed from Oct 27 thru Dec 2 while I am in Australia for Cement Shoes tour (more info in the tour dates section). I've worked on nearly twenty projects in a row without taking a break, so I think I'm due for a month off in the land of OZ.
LABEL NEWS: New records from POWER + SLUMP availble for preorder!

We are proud to announce two new releases, now available for preorder and officially out on 9/26! First up is a brand new 7" from Australia's POWER, titled The Fool. Both tracks on this 45 find the group embracing more of a revved up NWOBHM/Motörhead-driven direction than their previous hard rock/glammier output on In The Red. This 7" is being released in partnership with our Australian pals at Cool Death so if yer in AUS or NZ, please order from them. We pressed up 50 on lovely "Fool's Gold" vinyl (strictly limited to one per customer) and 350 black. Have a listen to "The Fool" HERE.

And let me tell you about SLUMP! These guys have slowly been building up an incredible live energy as local openers for many a show here in Richmond, but boy does this debut album stand out from the pack. Flashbacks from Black Dust Country is one of the rare marriages of punk and actual psychedelic influence that works. No half stepping here - these guys definitely have taken more acid than you but have still managed to craft one of the best punk-psych-rock albums in recent memory. Liberal doses of Hawkwind, Spacemen 3, and Chrome run through the mixer on this one - jam "Throbbing Reverberation" HERE. First pressing of 400, with 75 copies on a wonderful red/black swirled opaque, plus 100 pro cassettes.

Preorders are set to ship in the next 3-4 weeks, please be patient and remember that anything ordered in addition to a preorder item will not ship until all preorder items are stocked + fulfilled, thanks!

We have a special exclusive new distro item this time around, a new issue of the long-running Distortmag is here! Subscriber copies will go out in the next 1-2 weeks. Due to the massive size of this new issue (116 pages!), the zines will be printed made-to-order style. Please allow 1-2 weeks for assembly and delivery.
Here's the quick rundown from DX: "This issue of Distort is my final word on Cleveland and is in credit to A. Savage, who contributed a recent interview with Craig Bell, who was a member of The Mirrors and Rocket From The Tombs and X_X. All other material is from the first two issues of Distort Cleveland, or rinsed from many a zine or flier collection across the world. Comes with A3 size posters of DEVO, BONE THUGS N HARMONY and THE MIRRORS.

The NEW ARRIVALS section is loaded up with more Australian hits, namely the brand new PARSNIP LP, CIVIC 7", AMYL & THE SNIFFERS LP, & SCIENTISTS-early demos & live 2xLP. Aside from that we've got a stack of excellent reissue/archival records from all over the spectrum: CORTEX, CRUCIFIXION, ABWARTS, THE REVENGE, GROINOIDS, RAW POWER, the list goes on...Also of note is a restock on the painfully genius House Music LP from our Cleveland pal, Mike Thrope (of Bad Noids) - limited to just 150 copies. Highly recommended to all you fellow fanatics of CLE-based budget rock. We're also stocked up on catalog titles from Drunken Sailor, Total Punk, SPHC, & Dirtnap. Finally, the debut 7" from Central Virginia's WILD ROSE is here, great tuneful punk ala Love Bites era Buzzcocks mixed w/ riff heavy 70's hard rock influence.

And just a quick reminder, we have some hot new stickers to toss in with every order, and free shipping applies to any US order of $60 or greater.

First up, the mighty PIOUS FAULTS begin a large tour of Europe this Friday! Go see these wild young Australian gents if you're privy. I hear they have an entire new set of material and also a new Euro/OZ pressing of Old Thread available.
