Despite a band name that's quite the mouthful, (and sounds like a sixties group...any West Coast Pop Art Experimental Group fans out there?) Pittsburgh's Peace Talks crank out four fine punk numbers on this demo tape. There's nothing wildly stylish about this band, pushing forward a classic midpaced punk/HC sound that at times benefits from the angular guitar leads (see: "Nuclear Family"). Peace Talks are a solid addition to the Pittsburgh (and specifically, Polish Hill) punk scene alongside their neighbors in S.L.I.P., D.O.G., Eel, and Blood Pressure. Cruel Noise Records.
