Back in stock! Anyone with an ear to the ground mighta heard that there's a new incarnation of Folded Shirt making noise as DRUM MACHINE. And here the Drummies come, only replacing Alessandro behind the, uh, drum set with good ol' Richard Rotisserie. First of all, it's crazy how quiet, but effectively Drum Machine can play. I think the Cleveland fascination with lounge music (have you seen the lounger crooner section at Hausfrau?) is wholly absorbed into this new package, featuring Larry's caustic snarls of wit, Terry's loose butterfly guitar moves, and Peffer's snappy bass licks. If you aren't fully immersed in what Folded Shirt was doing, you're probably going to have trouble absorbing Drum Machine - but if anyone followed the Foldies all the way to that final radio session disintegration, you're gonna like the Drummies. Lo-fi, lo-volume, triangle jingle scrappage. The ultimate lax DIY debut! Self released.
